Here we have MJQ, a Prestige record where they put the Modern Jazz Quartet on one side and Milt Jackson Quintet on the other.
You can see that the cover is in nice shape, showing some age but not any true damage/wear. Look toward the opening on the front, as it is the worst part of the front…just shows some age/discoloring there. Note the name in ballpoint back cover, small center top. Overall, super light wear/rubbing perhaps, but age shows more in the gentle discoloring on the back and the stuff near the opening on the front.
Original inner is here, but it is split and tape fixed – I will put the wax in a new paper inner, just to be safe. It’ll also be in a new 3 ml plastic outer sleeve.
The wax is great – but with effort and bright lights, I could see some storage scuffs…my original review of this was in lighting that was too soft. That said, it is still really really lovely – I did not see anything at all on the Modern Jazz Quartet side that looked like it would play at all. I was unsure about the lead-in on the other side, as I saw 2 scuffs – but listen to the playback in the video, as it is very hard (impossible?) to tell where they are. Certainly not sounding like much – but my opinion matters zero here, it is all about you finding the wax you want.
I hope the pictures and the video clip support my rating and your purchase of it – but if there is anything further I can show you before sending, please let me know – happy to help.
