Here we are looking at a collection of 103 comedy 45s that spans the years between the 1950s and the early 80s.

There are all kinds of things in here, from novelty songs to silly stuuf, and also straight up comedy routines like Sister Mary Elephant by Cheech and Chong. It has classics of all sorts, like Monster Mash by Bobby Boris Pickett, The Streak by Ray Stevens, about everything by David Seville and Stan Freberg, along with many more hits and favorites.

I would have to say the majority of them are from the 60s and into the mid-70s, probably because this is when they were the most popular. But there are earlier and later ones as well. I haven’t spun them, but assume the range in quality – most probably didn’t get a lot of table spins.

There are a couple duplicates I remember coming across when I initially sorted them, but I can’t remember which ones…likely Stan Freberg and David Seville – they did a LOT of these. So did Dickie Goodman, and Goodman and Buchanon…they did a lot of martian and outer space things using speed control, reverb, and echo machines.

I don’t know what else to say about these – I have never seen so many comedy 45s collected in one place; it’s pretty comprehensive. I am making a solid deal on them simply because I could use the room, and though they are worth a lot more than I am asking, there is more value I believe, in having them all together.
