Here’s a really stellar copy of Horace Silver’s Blowin’ the Blues Away on Blue Note. It’s an original pressing!

You can see from the pictures, this one is in really nice shape. The front cover shows very little age/wear, and the pen on the back cover and the light rubbing there is about the worst of this one. The marker is unfortunate, but the aging on this cover is not severe. The edges and spine are all solid, showing no deteriorating at all. The back has more shelf life than the front, but it is minimal.

The inner seems to be original, it is one of those annoying wax paper ones, so I am guessing it is original – I pulled it out of the record. I put the record in a new plain white inner to better protect it, but I will include the original for you.

The wax is truly super here – it shows no indication of being played much, if at all. If it has been played, you’d see it by marks around the spindle hole but there are no marks on either side, anywhere. No needle marks, no real scuffs from storage to talk about – it is really really nice. I spun it, and it was just minty – but don’t take my word for it, use the video clip to see it for yourself, and hear a little from both sides. I personally think this is around as nice a used copy of anything as you can get, but for an original pressing of a Blue Note rarity, it is pretty fantastic. Makes this one really sing.

If I can share anything else, let me know, but I love this one, and the pix and clip should show you why.
