Here we have a lovely copy of John Coltrane’s A Love Supreme on Impulse, released in 1967.
This copy is in excellent shape overall, as the pictures will support. The front cover has minor wear, see the small nick on the opening side. There is not a ton of wear, but note on front, there are 2 scrapes in the laminate – look under the J and the T in his name. The second picture is the back cover – it shows just a little bit more wear to the laminate on this side, in the edges, but again, it is not showing any major wear/age or damages. The gatefold shows moderate aging, so I did an image zoomed of both the top and bottom parts for you to see in detail.
The inner is plain white, not original. Labels are nice and clean – not showing anything excessive by the spindle holes, and no writing or other stuff on them. It is really important to look at all the detail of the labels, because people are after specific copies and the differences are sometimes just millimeters in text spacing. These pix will let you validate pressing.
The wax has some super light storage scuffing, little wispy stuff but looks like it will play out really well – I don’t think it will spin anywhere less than a VG+, and should be better than that from its looks. I did not play it yet, but will do it on request.
But my opinion means nothing – you can see, and judge totally for yourself. But by all means, if I can show you anything else to see what this one is, just let me know.
