Here we are looking at the great John Coltrane record, A Love Supreme. It’s the original mono issue on Impulse.

This copy is a sweet one, both the cover and especially the wax. The cover has a slight storage curl to the bottom edge. There are two scraqpes across the front. On the back, the laminate is flaking in one spot you can see, at the top. The gatefold is clean.

The inner was replaced – can’t remember if I did it, but it is a new plain white paper one.

The labels are great -clean, solid in every way. The wax is really nice as well, but there are a couple small marks on each side. I plkayed it, and you can hear it on side two, but it is pretty subdued – it is because it is right after Elvin Jones does his solo, and the bass is playing by itself, very quietly. I put it thru the Spin Clean and the clicks were pretty soft, but they were not from dirt so they will be there. I did not find it distracted from the music at all, but we all have our tolerances.
