This one is in really nice shape overall, both in the cover and the wax. The cover is solid all around, with no real serious wear or deterioration showing. Look at the upper corner on the right – super slight bit of a bump maybe there. Spine is great, I zoomed a pic of it to show it.
I love the way this plays, but I saw some storage related light scuffs when I took it out again today. They are light and don’t appear to make any sound, but I could see them all the same. You should be able to zoom in on the still of the wax to see what I am talking about, and in the video, I slow spin both sides on my turntable under a flashlight, then play it a bit on the worst spot I could see. I played the whole thing, and it sounded great to me…there is an occasional pop or crackle, but I expect a lot worse from old jazz records, so something like this sounds GREAT to me. Hope the play tests do it justice – let me know if you need to see more/something specific.
