Here we are looking at Cal Tjader and Stan Getz with their sextet. This is the Stereo version of Fantasy in beautiful red translucent wax.
I can verify that this one is is the first pressing by the run out matrices – they match the last 2 on the release page.
This one is in really nice shape, from all appearances. The cover is clean on both sides and so are the edges. The inner has been replaced with a plain white one (I can’t remember if I did it or it was that way). Labels are also nicely clean.
The wax looks like it will play well – but it has been my experience that colored wax (especially on Fantasy) can hold some amount of pressing chatter – they are rather thin records compared to others. I don’t see any deep marks otherwise – I will play test it over the weekend to be sure it is not noisy by nature. It looks clean to me.
