Here we are looking at WQynton Kelly’s Kelly Blue on Riverside.
This one, the cover has some pretty good wear to it. Mainly, you can see that some moron put braided packing tape on every edge…looks like it was done in the 60s or 70s. That aside, there is a small name on front, and some writing on the credits on back to note. Otherwise, this one is simply a bit worn – kind of dirty, but not in any way that it can be cleaned up that I saw.
Plain inner, replaced (maybe by me – can’t remember), but it is plain paper. Labels are lovely and clean.
The wax is solid, but there are some wispy marks on it, and a couple very small factory imperfections (pebbles). I spun the whole record a couple days ago, and there are certainly some random pops, but nothing that distracted from the record, to me. It sounded great, and had a very solid playback. I am good staying with the VG+ rating, because it was a great record to listen to.
