Here we are looking at Grachan Moncur III’s Some Other Stuff, Blue Note 4177, from 1965.

This is a rare one for sure – this is the only copy I have ever had of it, and I never see it anywhere. The cover of this one has some age/shelf wear to it, but is still pretty clean. The spine and the edges are all solid still, there is simply some shelf wear and light rubbing to the cover, both sides.

On the back cover, there is an unfortunate inscription in ballpoint pen – I looked hard at it, but pretty sure it is simply someone inscribing a gift, which makes it pretty maddening to me. If it would have been a signature from a band memeber, I would’ve understood completely! Oh well – it is what it is.

The labels are clean both sides. The wax looks solid – but I did see a couple small arks on side one (side two had none). They are not “feelies” and seem pretty minor. There is a 2 ml mark in track one, then a wispy one over the last track. I have not spun this one yet, but would expect the playback to be clean overall (it is a Blue Note, with Van Gelder after all), with occasional pops perhaps from the random couple marks. I can play test on request.
