Here is some Johnny Cash Wall art…it is the iconic B/W pic of him giving the bird at Fulsom Jail, as well as a super rare pic sleeve from 1959 for The Little Drummer Boy (no record, darn it!). Cool stuff!
So I went back to my shop this morning, and I went through all of the records in it – all of them. I was trying to find any Johnny Cash I still have after Christmas, and there were 3 left – 2 Sun, 1 Columbia. I don’t think any will make your cut, as far as being of a high enough caliber – the Columbia was really nice wax, but the cover was pretty aged, while the Sun records were both just kinda loved on a bit – below the NM standard you are seeking.
I didn’t find the other copy of Hymns I know was there before last week, so it is gone now in the flurry of the season. I may possibly have more Johnny somewhere, but I think I have found them all.
The other 6-eye Columbia I have listed on Discogs might be one to consider – I looked at it, and the wax is pretty stellar on it. but it is a later one, so again, might not make the cut. I am sorry about it – wish I had the one you wanted, as you want it. But here is proof I was muddling about, trying to find it…
